As a volunteer, charitable, non-profit organization, the Friends of Kootenay National Park Association is dedicated to the protection, appreciation, education and understanding of the cultural and natural history of Kootenay National Park and its surrounding ecosystem, the Columbia River Valley.

Events and activities the Friends have supported through the years: Junior Naturalist Program, Wild Voices Speaker Series, Sponsor a Bighorn Program, Knapweed Pull, Head Banger Trail Challenge Fund Raiser, Headbanger Tours, Heritage teas...
