Volunteer Checklist:

( ) I will help with the Bighorn Projects (year round)

( ) I will help with the Junior Naturalist Program (summer)

( ) I will help at the next Weed Warrior (Knapweed) Pull (July tba)

( ) I will help at the Natures Gift and Book Store.

( ) I will become our Volunteer Coordinator.

( ) I would like to be on the Friends of Kootenay board.

We have lots of great ideas, but we need more warm bodies to assist with our volunteer efforts!   Board members convene once a month and coordinate our projects, programs, business items and new ideas.

Some of our brainstorming ideas that we just haven't gotten to yet include:  a Members Only page with updates on local trail and hut conditions:  local artisan showcases;  work bees to assist with trail work needs;  establishment of a bursury fund / local scholorship or research assistance; facilitating members to connect with members to hike or canoe together etc..  We would love to have some help... and we think that we are pretty fun to hang out with!  Please contact us if you are interested in a rewarding volunteer opportunity!
